1. 1.Needle goes under right side of loop on index finger.

2. 2.Go over the right side of left loop.

3. 3.Pull the right side of left loop through right loop.

4. 4.Pull yarn down to tighten loop on needle.

5. 5.Repeat for total number of stitches needed.

Purl stitch

1. 1.Insert needle in front of left needle as if to purl.  Yarn is held under tension on left side of thumb.

2. 2.Flip yarn counter clockwise over the tip of the right needle.

3. 3.Pull new stitch through loop and off left needle.

1. 1.Yarn source should come OVER the right needle and under tension.  Insert needle as if to knit.

Knit Stitch

2. 2.Slowly twist needles so the back needle is now in front.  Move yarn counter clockwise around tip of right needle with thumb.

3. 3.Move new loop through stitch and slide new stitch to right needle.

4. 4.You should end up with the new stitch on the right hand needle with the yarn source coming OVER the right needle under tension.
